The Local Farm web site is now powered by WordPress. This makes it infinitely easier to update! The Home page of the site is set up to automatically display the three most recent news and events posts. The other pages on the site are static, but can easily be updated by logging into Admin. The site uses NextGen for its photo galleries.

The Fox Hill Farm Grass Fed Beef site was designed and developed using Zen Cart. I had the great fortune working with amazing photographs, all taken by Larry Lampman, the site owner, at his farm. The photo galleries, in fact, were set up using a clever adaptation of Zen Cart’s additional images that I discovered by reading and following an example in the Zen Cart Forum. Fox Hill Farm accepts checks and money orders for online orders at this time.
Block Island Honey

w3sights is happy to announce that Block Island Honey is now using Zen Cart for all its shopping cart features. The goal in redeveloping the site was to gain the functionality that Zen Cart offers, but keep the same look and feel, originally designed by w3sights several years ago. This meant some customized programming in Zen Cart! Now Littlefield Bee Farm has the ability to update the site themselves and they can take advantage of some helpful shopping cart features such as tracking order status with emails to customers and reporting. The next step is to interface Zen Cart with Quickbooks so that data is exchanged between the two systems automatically.
