Pricing
Websites range greatly in pricing. I charge either by the hour, or by flat rate, depending on what your needs are. Most of the web sites I design range between $1,200 to $3000. I consider several variables in pricing, so please contact me for a free consultation and quote!
Whenever possible, I use open source systems such as Zen Cart and Word Press which don’t have licensing fees and are supported by large dedicated online communities. With such solutions, the web owner is able to easily update his or her site without having to hire a web designer. w3sights strives to come up with simple, creative, affordable web site solutions.
Every site is custom designed to represent the personality and philosophy of the owner. I especially enjoy helping farmers and other family oriented, creative, independent businesses and non-profit organizations… as that’s how I’m supporting myself! If you have a web site and need help updating it, I can do this on an hourly basis starting at $30 an hour for non-profit organizations. Please Note: All sites designed by w3sights are now being built in such a way that they can be easily and rapidly maintained by any one with basic word processing skills. Some w3sights clients choose to have their sites maintained by w3sights for convenience.
Hosting
w3sights also uses other Web hosting on an as needed basis. I can recommend and get Web hosting that provides what is needed for your web site. If you already have a host, I can decide whether that host will continue to meet the needs of your particular web site. If your existing or preferred host is not adequate in some way, I'll let you know why and explain how it would benefit you or your company to upgrade or switch. I can also handle new domain name registration, and if you already have a domain name, I can set up a web site using that domain name. The Web hosting I recommend starts at $99 a year, only $8.25 a month, with a $35 setup fee. For e-commerce sites, the hosting may be more, depending upon the set up and processing requirements for a particular site. Domain name registration through w3sights is $20 per year.
